This morning we have arrived in Kirkwall, Scotland (June 20th).
Jamie and Q are going on the Neolithic Bike
Ride throughout the area, I am going to relax on the ship and enjoy the day
onboard. Jamie and Q said they really enjoyed the bike ride. They biked for almost the whole day (8 hours), a sack lunch was provided. They said it was windy, but really enjoyed visiting the Standing Stones and the tombs among other places. There were about 10 in the group bicycling.
It is another beautiful day on land, of course, windy as
always in Kirkwall, but that seems to be the norm.
The bagpipers come out again to wish us a fond farewell as
well as the dancers.
Captain Andy has come on after we leave Kirkwall to tell us
that the seas are going to be rough until about 12 noon tomorrow and we are not
to be concerned with all the noises we hear, we will all be safe, but to be
prepared for rougher than normal seas.
Dinner tonight includes a celebration of Q’s graduation from
Brigham Young University.
He is right, by the time we are having dinner and showtime,
the ship is rocking and rolling. I took
some ginger pills and seem to be fine but many are feeling the effects of the
seas. Jamie and Q take some seasickness
pills as they are feeling a little queasy.
In the atrium, the Gothard Sisters are playing and they are
quite fun and entertaining to listen to.
You can hear them almost every night in O’Gills
We run into Merida in the hallway, so Jamie and Q grab a
quick picture and talk to her about her beautiful country that we have been
visiting.
Then a quick stop with Daisy, she had no line, so we paid
her a quick visit too. Emma was
character attendant this evening, so grabbed a quick pic with her too!
Tonight in the Walt Disney Theater we have Showtime
featuring Abba Fab. They do all the Abba
hits. They are very entertaining and
everyone sings and dances along. However
it is hard to dance along with the ship rocking and rolling!
By the time the show is over we decide it is time to go to
bed to try to sleep through the rough seas, but the ship is making so much
noise, that it is hard to sleep.
So, another blog typed and now going to try to get some
sleep.
Goodnight from the Disney Magic!
