Thugs Take Over the Disney Magic!

Yes, it is true.  Thugs have taken over the Disney Magic on our sea day (June 10th).  It must have something to do with that brand new show:  Tangled:  The Musical.

It is so exciting on the ship today.  They have added an additional matinee at 2 p.m. today, so Tangled will be performed 3 times!

We start the morning off by going to Brunch in Palo.  Another wonderful meal.  The food display is stunning.

This is for my BFF Shari…LOL

Cheese anyone?

My boy Harrison whom I met when he was just 14 (HA!)  He just looks so young.  He must be at least 18 now. (He actually has three children at home-yikes!)

Our server Mehmet with Bob and Dale and Pete and Faith

Silvio stops by to say hi

We then search for the Snuggly Duckling and play a game called Spot-A-Thug!

Now off to the 2 p.m. matinee of Tangled:  The Musical.

This is a show not to be missed.  Get there early as the line was long at 1:30 when the theater opened and there were no empty seats once the show started at 2 p.m.

Did I say the show is not to be missed?  It is awesome.  I love the movie and Disney’s production in live theater is even better!  It is so great, we are all going again to the show at 6:30 tonight.

Clayton made an announcement that we have a bonus to our day and we are going to be sailing through the Outer and Inner Hebrides.  Beautiful scenery.

According to Wikipedia:
The Outer Hebrides, also known as the Western Isles, is an island chain off the west coast of mainland Scotland. They form part of the Hebrides separated from the Scottish mainland and from the Inner Hebrides by the waters of the Minch the Little Minch and the Sea of the Hebrides.

Most of the islands have a bedrock formed from ancient metamorphic rocks and the climate is mild and oceanic. The 15 inhabited islands have a total population of 27,400 and there are more than 50 substantial uninhabited islands.

Sea transport is crucial and a variety of ferry services operate between the islands and to mainland Scotland. Modern navigation systems now minimize the dangers but in the past the stormy seas have claimed many ships.

The Inner Hebrides is an archipelago off the west coast of mainland  Scotland to the south east of the Outer Hebrides. Together these two island chains form the Hebrides which experience a mild oceanic climate. The Inner Hebrides comprise 35 inhabited islands as well as 44 uninhabited islands.

After the 6:30 performance of another spectacular showing of Tangled:  The Musical, we are off to The Snuggle Duckling for the 8:00 p.m. Takeover Event by the Thugs.  Make sure you leave the theater as quickly as possible for The Snuggly Duckling (formerly O’Gills) as the place will be packed immediately and it will be standing room only.

We play Thugo (think of Bingo) and we win and get temporary tattoos for the Snuggly Duckling!

During dinner the castle guards come running through the restaurant looking for Flynn Rider, they think they have found him when they see Michael, but unfortunately they are wrong

Best dessert ever:  The Flynn Rider Mud Pie

It is back to The Snuggly Duckling for the 10:15 show for Adults Only!  We play Thugo and then the Thugs tell stories of how they got their scars and the best story wins.

Now we have to hurry off to the Walt Disney Theater for the 10:45 p.m. adult show with John Charles.  John will be getting off the ship in Liverpool and spending 4 days there.  He will not be on for the next cruise.  If you are in the Orlando area, he performs a couple of times a year at the Winter Garden Theater and does a completely different show (not Disney) and is worth going to see!

Now, that was one busy sea day!  Next stop Greenock (Glasgow, Scotland!).
So once again goodnight from the Disney Magic!
