Twice Charmed-A Must See!

What a difference a day makes no rain or mist today.  The sea day (June 14) starts out with cloudy skies but before you know it, the Mickey bubble is working  and the sun comes out making it a beautiful day.

Last night after bedtime the seas did get a little rough as we worked our way out of the English Channel, but they have now calmed down and things are back to normal.

This morning, there is a special invitation for Platinum and Gold Castaway Club Members.  We are invited to the Walt Disney Theatre at 10:45 a.m. to see some special new scenes from Twice Charmed as well as to see some backstage work by the technicians during shows.

The latest number is there are over 1,000 Platinum and Gold Members onboard.  For the next cruise on June 17th there will be 600.  They are planning on this same kind of reception for the next cruise also.

Captain Andy welcomes us.  He has been absolutely fabulous this cruise.  He has been proud to show off his homeland of Scotland, he even joked as we got closer to his homeland that his Scottish accent increased (and it did, because we had talked about it at dinner one night!)  He shows us a new video from DCL and a message from Karl Holz, President of Disney Cruise Line who talks about the changes that will be made to the Disney Wonder during dry dock this fall.

We then get to see two new songs from Twice Charmed. (It is fabulous) and then we got to see the technicians work and how they use the headsets with the stage manager to move set pieces and set up the next scene. We then get to see another new segment of the show.  We are told there have been changes to the story and new and improved lighting.  The new costuming is fabulous.  Also the new lighting packages and the new scenery pieces and clarity of the graphics are awesome!   Can’t wait to see the show tonight.  We received our Rice Krispy treats on the way out of the theater.

We also got to talk to some of the cast who came out to Preludes.  We met up with Jeanna (whom I have known for a number of years) and also Brooke who is on her first contract with Disney.  Pete and Faith have gotten to know Brooke over this last week.  I met her for the first time.  She is a lovely young woman.  Can’t wait to see her tonight in the production!

After that it is already after lunch time, and as I am walking on deck we have a crew member handing out fruit skewers.  They were yummy!  One thing you might notice is the lack of guests in the background of the deck pictures.  You would have never had a problem getting a table or lounge chair for this cruise.  In fact I never saw a line for the Aquadunk nor the slide at the children's pool.  In fact I have never been out to the pool or hot tub this cruise.  The thought of getting out of the hot tub into the cold air just does not sound like any fun to me.

I then work my way back to the room to do a little straigtening up and we order room service.  Watch a Disney Movie on the tv and decide to take a little nap since I have been fighting off getting a cold.  Taking cold tabs so that seems to have helped that I don’t have a full set on cold.  Herbal tea seems to help too each morning to help clear up my head!

We want to get to Twice Charmed early to get good seats, so off to the Walt Disney Theater.  The show is absolutely amazing with all the changes and new storyline changes.  It is a must see.  I don’t want to spoil it for anyone coming on the next cruise so I am just going to say….don’t miss it!  This is the new graphic on the screen when you enter the Walt Disney Theater.  The candlelight looks like it is actually burning as the flame moves on the screen.

After that we are off to dinner in Animator’s and as usual the food is delicious. On my way out I run into Rapunzel and have a great time talking with her since no one else is around and even snap a picture!

We have an early morning tomorrow for Normandy, so I am headed off to the room to type the blog and go to bed.  So, once again Goodnight from the Disney Magic!
